Ben & Regan’s Hotel Kansas City wedding was one of sincerity, laid-back style, and pure joy. This venue is one of my favorites as a wedding planner, so I’m excited to share details of this beautiful October day!
Their story unfolded organically, rooted in the purchase of a home that became the canvas for their shared adventures. The proposal, a delightful surprise during a casual housewarming party, had Ben dropping to one knee, leaving Regan initially in disbelief, thinking it was a playful joke. Little did she know, it was the unexpected turn marking the start of their forever.
As the wedding plans unfolded, the couple infused their personalities into every aspect, creating a wedding day full of meaningful details. Personalized water bottles, wine, and whiskey, each with custom labels, became thoughtful gifts for the wedding party and vendors. Afterward, Regan fondly recalled the groom’s cufflinks that held the sweet message, “of all the walks we have taken, this one is my favorite.” It was these charming touches that set the tone for a day that was so uniquely theirs.
The wedding day buzzed with excitement. Multiple weddings and couples added to the lively atmosphere, creating a dynamic backdrop at Hotel Kansas City, the carefully chosen venue that perfectly encapsulated the heart of the city.
The morning preparations unfolded seamless, with The Kind Hair Human taking care of the ladies and making sure both hair and makeup looked gorgeous. Dresses from Birdy Grey added a touch of timeless elegance, setting the stage for the main event.
Behind the camera, Gretchen from Photo KC skillfully captured candid moments, turning them into timeless memories. During all this, my team worked behind the scenes, ensuring vendors, the couple, and the timeline were taken care of.
The President’s Ballroom witnessed the sincere vows of Ben and Regan, surrounded by the exquisite creations of Good Earth Floral Design. Regan’s ring, crafted from diamonds with a history as rich as the couple’s love, bore witness to the continuation of cherished family traditions.
Afterward, the day transitioned into a joyous celebration, and the Starlight Terrace, the rooftop patio at Hotel Kansas City, became the stage for a delightful cocktail hour. Against the backdrop of the Kansas City skyline, guests enjoyed in fresh air, Aperol spritzes, and delicious hors d’oeuvres. The cityscape views, in addition to the warmth of the celebration, created a perfect Kansas City wedding environment.
Afterward, the reception in the Starlight Ballroom showcased the couple’s love for intricate details. Poppy Cake Studio’s masterpiece, a delectable cake, took center stage. The cake-cutting set, a family heirloom with names and dates from weddings since 1959, added a nostalgic touch.
Complete Weddings & Events KC took the reins after that, setting the tone for a night filled with laughter and dance. The atmosphere they created allowed guests to celebrate this wonderful couple and their story so far.
To summarize, Ben and Regan’s wedding highlighted their love, family traditions, and the collaborative efforts of an exceptional team of vendors. Here’s to a lifetime of joy, each chapter brimming with love for Ben and Regan!
