One of my favorite things about being a Kansas City wedding planner is teaming up with other vendors to explore our creative sides! It gives me the chance to know other vendors personally and provide the best recommendations to my Philosofi Couples. While wedding planning will always be where my heart’s at, planning this styled shoot was so much fun! I love collaborating with other vendors in the Kansas City wedding community. Miranda from Lavender Ducky Designs reached out to me with a beautiful vision in mind, inspired by Taylor Swift’s iconic song, Love Story. And thus, the Romantic Wildflower Wedding Shoot was born. *chefs kiss*
I definitely recommend you listen to Love Story by Taylor Swift while looking through these photos. Put it on, I’ll wait.
We immediately reached out to Elizabeth from eGolden Moments, knowing she was the perfect Kansas City wedding photographer to bring our vision to life. And after seeing this Romantic Wildflower gallery, you’ll understand why she was our top pick.
As I planned this styled shoot, I kept the theme at the top of my mind. I wanted the vibe to be more than romantic: it needed to be a romantic wildflower wedding. Every detail was intentional. For example, the stationery from Rock Scissors Paperie was not only the cutest thing ever, but the full suite was printed on seed paper. The wildflowers can bloom long after this shoot is complete.
From the tiniest detail in the stationery, to the place where it happened: The English Barn is the dreamiest wedding venue anyone could ever imagine. Nestled in Louisburg, Kansas, walking around this venue legit feels like you’re in a fairytale. This venue was the most magical location for our Romantic Wildflower Styled Shoot. The landscape is breathtaking, the elegance is timeless, and Jane was a delight to work with!
As our models, Kylah Clark and Kyle Strehlow prepared for the day, we arranged wildflowers around the venue.
The vintage China from Good Stuff China were the perfect blend of unique and classy.
The Good Stuff China dining ware complemented the stars of the show – our wildflowers from Perfect Petals Wedding and Event Florist. We sprinkled these blossoms allllll over the venue, from the front door to the head table.
I personally loved how the flowers looked on this welcome sign, made by Rock Scissors Paperie.
And we can’t forget the breathtaking bridal bouquet and boutonniere.
What’s a wedding without cake? A beautiful, delicious shoutout to Taylor Elizabeth Cakes for this whimsical fairytale cake! I love how the disassembled bouquet is so simple, yet matches the vibe so well.
Kylah was dressed in this princess-worthy gown from Pearl and Lace Bridal. She was absolutely glowing as we walked around the beautiful property at The English Barn. We found the perfect spot to do some of Elizabeth’s iconic veil shots.
The credit for Kylah’s romantic hair and makeup all goes to Hello Lovely KC. I’m pretty sure Ashley read my mind after I told her about our inspiration, because this look was exactly what I was picturing.
What’s a Romantic Wildflower wedding shoot without a way to preserve the wildflowers? Lavender Ducky Designs has a ton of options for resin preservation.
