Some weddings are so deeply personal that they leave a lasting impression on everyone involved. S&B’s day at Oakwood Country Club was exactly that. From the timeless charm of the venue to the thoughtful details woven throughout the celebration, their wedding was a heartfelt reflection of their love story.
Tarmine Guichette, their talented photographer, captured every moment beautifully—from the first look that brought tears to everyone’s eyes to the private last dance that wrapped up the evening on a perfect note.
The couple started their day getting ready in Oakwood’s private suites, which were ideal for a calm yet excited atmosphere. The bride and her closest friends spent the morning being pampered by Hello Lovely and Alida’s Beauty. Meanwhile, the groom and his party prepped in style, donning timeless attire from Slabotsky’s and sharing laughs (and maybe a toast or two).
The bride was absolutely stunning in her Adriana Madrid gown paired with dreamy Claire Pettibone shoes, while the wedding party complemented the day’s palette of romantic reds and pinks. The morning was filled with quiet anticipation and meaningful moments shared with their closest loved ones.
The ceremony took place in Oakwood’s intimate, chapel-like space, where the historic architecture and Laura Mohamadi Design’s lush floral arrangements created a breathtaking setting. Red and pink blooms adorned the space, perfectly matching the cozy yet elegant vibe S&B had envisioned.
As the couple saw each other for the first time, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. That moment, along with their heartfelt vows, was one of the newlyweds’ favorite memories—and for good reason. It was the culmination of years of love and resilience, shared in front of their favorite people.
While guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres prepared by Oakwood’s exceptional in-house catering team, we transformed the ceremony space into a dance floor and finalized the details in the reception space.
During this time, we captured family portraits, lively wedding party photos, and intimate newlywed shots around Oakwood’s picturesque grounds.
The reception kicked off with a heartfelt welcome from the bride’s mother, setting a sentimental tone for the evening. Guests were treated to a plated dinner that perfectly reflected the couple’s decision to prioritize quality and convenience in their venue choice.
Speeches followed, bringing laughter, tears, and stories that celebrated S&B’s journey together. The couple then opened the dance floor with their first dance to “All Your’n” by Tyler Childers. The moment was tender and full of joy, setting the stage for a lively night of celebration.
The parent dances added another layer of meaning, with sweet moments between the bride and her dad, and the groom and his mom. Then the energy kicked into high gear as guests filled the dance floor, thanks to the dynamic tunes from Complete Weddings & Events.
As a fun twist, the cake cutting was unannounced—simple and quick—before the ice cream sundae bar opened. This casual, yet creative touch was a hit, giving guests a sweet treat without interrupting the party vibe.
One of the most memorable parts of the day was the couple’s private last dance. With everyone else stepping out, it was a quiet moment for just the two of them to soak in the magic of the day.
It was the perfect ending to a wedding that felt equal parts cozy, elegant, and deeply personal. The thoughtful details, the stunning backdrop of Oakwood Country Club, and the love that filled every moment made it a day to remember—not just for S&B, but for everyone who had the privilege of celebrating with them.
Here’s to a future filled with as much love and joy as their wedding day. S&B’s story is a reminder that after every challenge, something beautiful is waiting. And sometimes, it even comes with an ice cream sundae bar.
