Avent Orangery Greenhouse Wedding | Ali & Tee

Ali and Tee’s fall greenhouse wedding at Avent Orangery was one full of love, laughter, and killer dance moves. This sweet couple first reached out to me just weeks before my own wedding, and we started planning theirs shortly after. They knew that planning a wedding from out of state would be difficult (they live on the East Coast) and that having a partial planner working alongside them would be invaluable.

Tee often joked that he was a groomzilla, but part of what made working with Ali and Tee so fun was his involvement! Typically I work way more with one marrier than the other, and at hetero weddings, it’s almost always the bride. Tee, however, was at every planning meeting (and was even able to take the lead when Ali had clients to take care of).

Wedding Day at Avent Orangery

When it came time for their big day, they were able to relax, get ready, and spend time with the friends and family they now live over a thousand miles away from. Meanwhile, their vendor team prepped, assembled, and set everything up at Avent Orangery.

These two included so many sweet details in their day, from Ali surprising Tee with a seat reserved for his late dad, to personalized Chiefs jerseys.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour with drinks and music while the wedding party and couple took photos. Meanwhile, we were hard at work inside Avent Orangery, coordinating their room flip. Flipping the room allowed them to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the greenhouse during both their ceremony and reception.

Ali and Tee both love music and a good party, so they opted for both a DJ and a band. Da Truth Band was such a fun addition and the combo kept the party going all night inside the greenhouse.

Tee sent me a super sweet email after they got home, and this snippet really stuck out to me. He was thanking me for taking care of them on their wedding day and ended with this:

“… and so much more that we can’t name because you handled it and therefore we don’t know about it.”

This right here is why I love what I do and love the couples I’m lucky enough to work with. Ali and Tee, it was truly an honor to plan alongside you and to be part of your journey!
