Lucie and Garrett’s wedding day felt exactly like them: calm, intentional, and quietly joyful. From the start, there was an ease to the day that never wavered. Stone Manor set the tone beautifully, and everything unfolded with a steady rhythm that let the couple truly enjoy it.

Lucie and Garrett are both engineers — Lucie a civil engineer and Garrett a mechanical engineer — and that shared mindset showed up in the best way. They value thoughtfulness, structure, and simplicity. Nothing about the day felt overdone. Instead, every moment felt purposeful.
Their story started long before Kansas City. Garrett proposed in Florence, after a really great dinner during a trip to Italy. Lucie expected a proposal somewhere on the trip, but the moment still caught her completely off guard. That same blend of anticipation and surprise showed up throughout their wedding day too.

The day began with getting ready onsite at Stone Manor. The space was calm and light-filled, setting an unhurried pace. Lucie spent the morning with her bridesmaids, including her sister and maid of honor. The energy stayed grounded and relaxed, which felt very true to her.

The bridesmaids wore satin, floor-length dresses in soft blush, champagne, and gold tones. Each dress was different, but the palette tied everything together. It was classic and romantic without feeling stiff.
Meanwhile, Garrett got ready with his groomsmen nearby. They wore black suits with bowties, which gave the day a clean, timeless look. There was no first look, so everything built toward the ceremony.

The ceremony took place at Stone Manor and felt peaceful from start to finish. Guests settled in easily, and the atmosphere stayed warm and welcoming. Lucie’s family played a meaningful role throughout the day, and their closeness was especially noticeable during the ceremony.

When Lucie walked down the aisle, the room shifted. The moment felt quiet and emotional without being heavy. It was one of those ceremonies where you could feel how comfortable the couple was with each other.
After the ceremony, guests moved into cocktail hour while the space was flipped for the reception. During this time, Lucie and Garrett took family photos, wedding party photos, and then slipped away for newlywed portraits.

They also shared private vows together, which became one of the most intimate moments of the day. It gave them space to be fully present before the celebration picked back up.

Behind the scenes, our team handled a last-minute curveball. The caterer arrived with napkins in the wrong color. Instead of letting it derail the design, we tracked down an alternative, picked them up, and had tables set with time to spare. The reception looked exactly as planned — and Lucie never had to worry about it.
Lucie and Garrett were introduced as newlyweds, followed by a warm welcome from Lucie’s parents. Dinner was served buffet-style by Cupini’s, and guests settled in quickly. The room felt lively but relaxed, which made it easy for people to connect.

As the sun started to dip, Lucie and Garrett stepped outside for sunset photos. That quiet pause gave them a second chance to soak it all in before the evening continued.

Toasts from the best man and Lucie’s sister followed dinner. They were heartfelt and personal, with just enough humor to keep things light. The cake cutting came next, then the first dance.

Parent dances followed, and soon after, the dance floor opened. Levity Events kept the energy steady, and guests were more than happy to join in. The night wrapped up with a bouquet toss and a packed dance floor.

Lucie and Garrett’s wedding proved that a day doesn’t need to be loud to be unforgettable. It just needs to feel true. Their calm presence, close family, and trust in their vendor team made the day feel effortless.
From a peaceful morning to a full dance floor, it was a joy to be part of their day.
