I’m so excited to share the details on on Taisha and Cordell’s PARTY of a wedding at White Iron Ridge. Grab your coffee or whatever floats your boat, and let’s dive into the cozy vibes, romantic feels, and some unexpected twists.
Despite some last-minute COVID scares from friends and family, CJ and Taisha stick to their Christmas plans of going to Chicago. They decide to roll with the punches and make the best of it.
Now, fast forward to the big day of the proposal. Taisha’s feeling a bit suspicious as they head out for a movie and dinner. They end up at Cooper’s Hawk Winery, the same place they later held their rehearsal dinner in Kansas City. CJ leads Taisha to a private dining area, drops to one knee, and pops the question. With loved ones, both there and virtually, surrounding them, Taisha is overwhelmed with joy. It’s a moment they’ll always remember, marking the start of their journey to the aisle and setting the tone for their romantic, minimalistic wedding ahead.
Taisha and CJ, chose White Iron Ridge for their wedding day: ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Minimal, romantic, and the price was right. Reviews were solid, and the place was available – easy decision.
Taisha and Cordell’s wedding day was a blend of minimalistic charm and heartfelt moments, set against the backdrop of the beautiful White Iron Ridge. The day kicked off with a first look that can only be described as pure magic. Bridesmaids strategically positioned on the balcony captured the genuine joy and excitement as the couple laid eyes on each other for the first time. It was an intimate and emotional moment that set the tone for the rest of the day.
The ceremony was a testament to the couple’s authenticity. With no scripts or rehearsed lines, Taisha and Cordell exchanged vows straight from the heart, creating an atmosphere of genuine love and connection. Walking down the aisle towards each other, they shared a moment that will forever be etched in their memories.
As the sun set, the reception transformed into a lively celebration. The DJ’s choice to play “Faneto” by Chief Keef, a nod to their Chicago roots, turned the dance floor into a bustling scene of joy and energy. The couple, along with their predominantly Chicagoan guests, reveled in the beats, creating a hometown vibe that made the night unforgettable. From the first look to the dance floor, Taisha and Cordell’s wedding day was a beautiful reflection of their love, surrounded by the warmth of friends, family, and a soundtrack that perfectly captured the spirit of the occasion.
“For our wedding we used Sofi’s wedding management services. If we had more money to allocate to planning services, we would have booked her for complete wedding planning. She was HIGHLY accommodating, even with my untamable wedding party and my godson who followed her around the whole wedding day. Sofi was knowledgeable and chill which made us comfortable during the process. Literally the day of the wedding, I had no seating chart and Sofi created one, got it printed, and brought it to the venue! Her suggestions were always great solutions and the planning site she uses is the best I have ever used in terms of organization. If I were to recommend any vendor from my wedding, it would be Sofi!”
